Sirius's death?
« on: July 20, 2007, 10:45:30 AM »

I would just look this up myself, but a couple of my books are still at my old place, so I can't.

What spell did Bellatrix use on Sirius? I have this idea in my head that it was some sort of energy bolt thing, but because
the movie has her using avada kevadra
, I have started to doubt my own memory. Can anyone look this up for me?

Not that my speculation based on this point isn't going to be resolved starting at midnight, but still...

I'm pretty sure it didn't say what spell it was, but that it was red light, and not green, so it wasn't a killing curse. Could have been a Stunning Spell. In the movie, I think she actually said "Avada Kedavra" but we all know how true the movies are to the books.
The quantity of consonants in the English language is constant. If omitted in one place, they turn up in another. When a Bostonian "pahks" his "cah," the lost r's migrate southwest, causing a Texan to "warsh" his car and invest in "erl wells."
