My attitude toward spoilers
« on: July 19, 2007, 01:30:12 AM »

I would like to note that I am signing off the internet for a few days.

Spoilers are everywhere, you guys. Everywhere. The New York Times just posted a review of Book 7. With spoilers.

My friend just called me to tell me he's 150 pages into it. I had to hang up on him to keep him from telling me things.

Temptation is high to look at spoilers, especially when it's so easy, but I implore you to hold on for a few more days. As for me? I'll be gone for two days, 29 minutes at least, and when I finish the book, this will be the first place I'll come.

And even if you don't WANT to look at spoilers, be careful if you're surfing the net. I have no doubt that people will sabotage various webpages with THE GIANT SQUID EATS KARKAROFF ON PAGE 205!!!!11!!LULZ!!!1ONE.

And, on that note, farewell. Until we meet again, as older and wiser fans.

The quantity of consonants in the English language is constant. If omitted in one place, they turn up in another. When a Bostonian "pahks" his "cah," the lost r's migrate southwest, causing a Texan to "warsh" his car and invest in "erl wells."

My biggest source of potential spoilers is actually my world of warcraft communities and games. I just have to make it another day and a half or so, because I'm going to a midnight party so I can get the book, read it, and return to the world again afterwards.
