« on: November 20, 2005, 06:14:52 PM »

I was looking at the scarves topic and because it hasen't been posted on since 2003 and ended in some instructions, i thought that i should start anew.

I'm a beginner knitter who hasen't made anything other than a scarf.I would like to make a griff scarf but am not sure what type of yarn to use or how long it should be and would like some help! Also what type of stich should i use? I'm dyin g to know & need help

Also if you know anything else to make, wether its knit, crochett or sewn, post here to let us all know you ideas!

I use the patterns from Atypically.net. I've made a Slytherin and two Gryffindor scarves with it, and it workes really well, as do their suggestions on yarn.

If you're doing it on circulars, yes, because it'll be half as wide. Though I usually just go until I've got a pretty good spread around the length of the needles and then join and go.
