Interesting thought
« on: November 15, 2005, 12:35:47 PM »

While listening to the HP books on tape in my car a few days ago a thought popped in.  I don't always like it when that happens because sometimes when it bursts, it hurts.

Anywho.  What if after the seventh book JKR goes back and starts the series back over but from someone elses POV.  I know it's not likely to happen but I like closer and I'm also interested in what people are thinking.  Like Malfoy's side of HBP, that would be a very interesting read.

I can't imagine her doing that! Or at least, I can't imagine doing that for something I wrote! Usually there's a reason it's from a certain character's POV, as well.

Blasphemy though this may be, a part of me will be glad when the last book comes out.

Marold - I lover your idea - and how wondefully  delicious (I hope that sounds sincere, but - that is because I REALLY mean it) - that is because I would find it to be a different experience to read the books with Draco as the portagonist and Harry as the antagonist. .. . Can you think of how great it would be to see the series through that point of view?

It seems more of a fanfic than it does an actual book.  But I'm one of those weird people that likes to see so many other perspectives on stories or ideas.

I think we'd see certain characters in a different light.  Like what it's like to live in a Dark Wizards home wondering when LV would come back to power.  Did they sit around the dinner table discussing who they were going to kill to show their support once again?

Hmm, yeah, count me out of that reading! I've discovered I like reading ... happy things. Not that HP is always happy, but there are some nice things in them. I don't like reading about the villain's POV in most cases, or even the POV of jerks. Escapism, that's the ticket. :)
