How about another caption contest?
« on: July 04, 2005, 08:15:10 AM »

Rules: (Please read all the rules before submitting your caption)
- I'll present you with one picture. It is your job to come up with an appropriate caption to go along with that picture.
-Captions are all to be submitted to me by PM. Do not post your captions in this thread.
- 3 points will be awarded to each person who participates. You may send as many submissions as you'd like to but you will only receive 3 entry points (no matter how many you send).
- 12 points go to the winner, thus a total of 15.
- 7 points go to second place, a total of 10.
- I'll post everyone's submissions when I've finished judging
- Entries are judged on creativity, grammar, and humor

This contest will close on Monday, July 11th at 11:59 pm, PST. (Which is my time zone, and it's just less effort for me to think in those terms.) I'll probably post results on July 12th.

The quantity of consonants in the English language is constant. If omitted in one place, they turn up in another. When a Bostonian "pahks" his "cah," the lost r's migrate southwest, causing a Texan to "warsh" his car and invest in "erl wells."

Not beating around the bush this week. ;D

The results of the caption contest are in! First the runners up, receiving 3 points each, are as follows.

Dumbldor who submitted the following caption:

Quote
Malfoy:wee its like magic , wee
Harry:git

Morrin Midnight who submitted the following caption:

Quote
Malfoy: Hey Potter! What up, I want your pocket money!

Harry: *glares*

In second place, receiving seven additional points to the three participation points, for a total of 10, is

Ping who submitted the following caption:

Quote
"I'll get you, my pretty! And you're little dog, too!"

Or, a variation, "I'll get you, my pretty! And your animagus dog, too!"

And the winner, receiving twelve additional points to the three participation points, is

Christine who submitted the following caption:

Quote
Draco: I'll get you Potter, and your little broomstick too!
Harry: Okay dude, that's taking the evil just a little too far.

As you can see, I got a couple of similar ideas in the caption. If you disagree with the decision I made, please feel free to send me a howler detailing all of your complaints, addressed to Dolores Umbridge. ;D
