Summer Plans?
« on: May 30, 2005, 06:45:29 PM »

I was just wondering what everyone had planned for the summer.  Personally, I'm just glad to be done with school for a few months- our last day is this Friday!  Eight periods a day for nine months straight gets really tiring.  Plus, I have Math Counts practices on Saturdays, Quiz Bowl practice after school every other day, most of the year I've been studying for state spelling bee, and end of the year orchestra concerts just got over.  I know, I'm such a geek.  ;D

Anyway, I'm ready for some much needed sleep.  Anyone else got plans?

*sniffle* I remember when I had a summer ....

On the plus side, I have a nice fat voucher for $300 on American, so I might go out to Utah and Wyoming and visit friends and my bro and his family. That would be nifty. :)

I'm actually getting a job believe it or not. I never thought I'd do it, but I've got to. On top of that, I've got to do some summer school to finish up a PE credit, and I'll be applying for scholarships, and maybe even colleges. I might be taking a vacation to Europe in July, but that's still in the very-unlikely area.

And, of course, reading HBP. ^_^

Yeah, I told my mom that I'm locking my self up in my room for a month when HBP comes out, you know, to read it about 4 times and let it sink in.  She didn't realize that I wasn't kidding.  ;D

You'd be out in my neck of the woods if you came out to Utah Ping.  ;D

I'm working and probably going back to school this summer.

And you'd actually be in my half of the country! Woot!

Summer vacation around here takes forever to come. There are a whole bunch of schools who have been out for weeks. We don't get out until the end of this month. O_o

My first time to MN I was so close to Wisconsin that now I think about it we should have just gone over the boarder.  It's not like it would have taken anymore extra time.

I actually live right on the border of Minnesota myself.  What part of MN were you in?  I live in Holmen, which is right across the Mississippi from Dakota.  Winona, MN is also very close.

Summer plans for me is having a good time with my three boys, we have a little chalet by the sea in Kent , England. The boys just cant wait to go down there, they have so much freedom,we spend most of the 6 weeks holidays down there and most weekends. Its open from March to October. I just sit out side and relax in the sun (when we have some that is) having a few glasses of wine.aaaaaahhhhh heaven...... ;D

I was staying in Egan which is close to West St. Paul I guess.  So many small cities, well not really small just so many cities by each other.

I've been up there a lot.  I actually have family that lives in Minneapolis.   :)

As for summer plans, I might be going on a missions trip to Arkansas with my church youth group sometime in July.  That would be fun.  Other than that I have no idea what I'll do.

My plans right now might include a trip up to Boston for the 4th. I feel like I need a break from the current insane roommates. However, since I'm moving soon-ish, I might need the day off for packing. I guess we'll have to wait and see. *sigh*

Oooh Boston.. I love it there, it's so pretty =)

I'll be going to Belgium (hourrah pour les Wallons!), France (eh oui, comme d'habitude) and Spain, where I'll be living with a family there to improve my Spanish *is happy*
Although.. my dad might have a job again then, so I won't be able to see him. Hmf. So not so perfect. But almost there :)

Wow, how many languages do you speak, Cerberus? I wish I could speak a foreign language. I know a bit of Japanese, but I seem to have something of a block for learning them. =/

I made it into the acting troupe at my high school (just ten people out of a school of 3000!) and we go on a camp out at the end of summer to get better acquainted with each other, so I'm way excited for that. I might even spend a day in Seattle with a group of friends sometime soon. We live about an hour away from Seattle, but I've never gotten to go and just walk around and explore, so that would be cool, for me at least. ^_^
