Kudos for success!
« on: November 09, 2004, 01:49:24 AM »
I should have known that a Hufflepuff would get this "Order of Ping".  Now you know why my house likes to get them to "help" us with our homework.

I believe in success through work ::whispers to self "but not too much on my part"::.  Congratulations.
I have found that the pursuit of knowledge and the pursuit of friends often find their paths splitting and running in completely opposite directions.

Amen to that.  Though I'm not against doing my own work when it's too risky to get someone else to do it for me, it's much easier just to snag a passing Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw.  There's always some sort of deal that can be worked out.

Really?...are you sure you got sorted properly?

But it would, I think, be in your best interests to give us the correct answers, don't you think?

Then again, wouldn't it be in your best interests to just do the work yourself?
The quantity of consonants in the English language is constant. If omitted in one place, they turn up in another. When a Bostonian "pahks" his "cah," the lost r's migrate southwest, causing a Texan to "warsh" his car and invest in "erl wells."

Yay for Hufflepuff!  Slytherin's should learn to learn on thier own.  I'm sure you're parents "YamNeo" became successful on thier own merrit instead of using other people.

Now, if that were true, then we wouldn't be Slytherins, now would we?

That's true, it's a very distinctive characteristic of Slytherins, and you have it in spades.

I resent the assumption that all Slytherins get others to do their work.  Hmph.  As if I would trust anybody else to do it right.

Sweeps in rolling her eyes at the "ickle firsties".  Slytherins are noted for being cunning and ambitious.  We are not noted for being slackers.  Sure, we get Ravenclaws to help us with our work sometimes.  You ought to note that, traditionally, we don't sucker Hufflepuffs into doing our work for us.  Ravenclaws are the brainy ones.  Hufflepuffs, on the other hand, are fast friends.  Not that I personally know any Hufflepuffs.  Congrats, Heather, on getting the Order.

I believe the correct terms for Hufflepuffs are "bait" and "distraction". I mean, look what happened to poor Cedric. So trusting, honest, loyal, and dead.

See how far it gets you? I think I'll stick with Slytherin. Success it is. ;)

//coughcoughTOPICcough//

I believe the point of this thread was to honor Heather, not to put her house down or discuss Slytherin's tendencies to slack ... or not.

//turns to Heather//

Heather, no one here deserves this award more than you do, except perhaps Ping herself!  Congtulations!

Yes, forgive me, I was getting quite off topic.  Congradulations Heather, you worked hard for the award, and you truly deserve it.
