Which three genres did you pick? Who are your favourite artists?

Aww, no techno! So I put in Dance instead, along with Rock and Classical. I have such a wide variety of music taste, that sometimes it's hard to put my favorites into one genre.

well, i basicaly listen to all of the styles...exept for country. I mean, i listen to a little country, but only the good old stuff, with Jonnie Cash and the like. I guess i don't listen to too much RnB, but enough. And as far as artists go, there are too many to list, but my top pick right now is The Shins.

Sorry about techno... I can't seem to see the difference between dance and techno.............. What are they?

Ooh fair enough. I'm actually sort of the same except that my favourite is rock (my favourite bands are The White Stripes, Radiohead, The Pixies, Coldplay... and Wyclef Jean. But he doesn't really make sense in that list).
It's really cool seeing people with completely different tastes. Most of the people I know like pop/hard rock, which is irritating, because that's all they can talk about when it comes to music.
Or others just don't listen to music. Even harder to get along with ;)

I don't know why, but it doesn't let me vote 3 times... *annoying*

I don't listen to much music ... at all ... but what I listen to is overwhelmingly dark rock, so that's what I voted for. Evanescence, Linkin Park, and to some degree Avril ... though she's pop/rock, but whatever ... and whatever else is on Launch/MTV.

I picked rock, hard rock and metal....but I'm not sure that totally covers my musical tastes. In fact, I guess I like almost anything that sounds melodic (doesn't have to sound rock-ish at all) , but rock and melodic metal are what I listen to most of the time.

By the way, such a nice poll - I like seeing what kind of music other people listen to.

Crazy? Moi?!

Okay, perhaps I'm a little crazy.

I kinda like Michelle Branch, but I've never really listened to Billy Joel... is he a country singer?

I've recently fallen in love with soundtracks. Chicago being my favorite.

:o  How could you even think that?  Billy Joel is no country singer.  He's more of a....pop/blues singer.  A lot of his music makes me think hard, which i like in music.

Don't really care for Michelle Branch, though....

Who here likes Linkin Park?

See? Told you, I don't know. I don't listen to very much popular music at all. No clue.

Linkin Park... meh. They're okay. I have the CD, but it was a Christmas gift last year from someone who didn't really know what I like.

Is there anyone else in the world (read: on the board) besides me who likes techno or J-Pop?

Pink Floyd?
