Re-sorting
« on: June 14, 2004, 05:42:22 AM »

I was going over some of my old spells, and I discovered that, the last time the enchantment on the sorting hat was renewed, a few of the words were wrong. Therefore, we're going to have a voluntary resorting.

If you don't feel you're in the right house, please take the sorting hat again. If you feel you're a better fit in the new house, you may post here to inform the administration, and we'll make sure you're put in the right house. If you retake the test and do not like the new result, never fear, you won't have to move unless you want to.

PLEASE only take the test ONCE. The admins get emails every time the test is taken, and this can lead to all sorts of headaches if we get multiple emails from the same person.

Make sure you enter your Hogsmeade user name in the provided blank. This helps us track who is being sorted.

Whew! I knew I was in the wrong house! Here's my results:

Congratulations! You've been sorted into Gryffindor! The administration will soon change your account settings so that you can access your common room.

I was in Hufflepuff before, but normally I've always been in Gryffindor with all the other Sorting's I've taken...

This explains my non-fan friend's horror when he found out he was placed in Hufflepuff.....

Hey Ping, when was the last time the spell was renewed?  i.e., how far back was the mistake made?

I've always wanted to put the old Sorting Hat on again, if only to see if I'm a geniune Slytherin.  NOT that I'd want to be in any other house, mind you. ;)

UPDATE:  My friend and I both re-took the test.  He got into Gryffindor, after first being placed in Hufflepuff......I, on the other hand, GOT INTO SLYTHERIN AGAIN!!!!!!  Whoo-hoo!  I'm A TRUE SLYTHERIN!  BONESY RULES!!!!![/i]

It's been ... months and months, actually, I fear. The biggest problems were between Gryffindor and Hufflepuff. Some of the answers got put in backwards and it was just ... messy. Should be all better now. Hopefully he'll be happier in Gryffindor! :D

Could one of the Admins help me? In the Great Hall, isn't it supposed to have a Gryffindor header & background? Well, I'm getting the purpleness background & Hufflepuff header still...  ::)

Cho: Er...thank you...I guess.  ;)

Actually, the Great Hall indicates who was the last winner of the House Cup. All houses see Hufflepuff's colors, cause they won last. We can certainly redecorate by the beginning of July if we work at it, though. We do have the best colors.

Why do a lot of people frown upon Hufflepuff? We're just as good as all the rest of you, except we're friendly and all...

Please, do not try to steel or wrong our honour by saying: "In the Great Hall, isn't it supposed to have a Gryffindor header & background? Well, I'm getting the purpleness background & Hufflepuff header still..." Why would anyone think that it's supposed to be Gryffindor? I guess because it's in the books and all that...

Well, I'm sorry but I got confused!

Because when I first joined, I didn't have access to the Hufflepuff common room as I had JUST gotten sorted, and the great hall wasn't decorated...it was plain on my browser. Then once I got access, it was Hufflepuff colors, so I thought it just depended upon what house your in! You don't have to jinx me for a little misunderstanding, do you?!?

Chill, Kelpie. No one's saying Hufflepuffs aren't cool and stuff. It was a misunderstanding. We all know it's mostly Slytherin students that are uncool. :P

*muffles laughter*

And why WOULDN'T the Great Hall be in Gryffindor colors?  Is there something wrong with Gryffindors, miss, that would make it impossible for their colors to be in the Great Hall??  I'm sure you weren't insinuating that there's anything wrong with your Gryffindorian fellow boardmates, were you.  That wouldn't be very friendly, you know.   ^-^  ;)

OK, I am gone a few weeks, I come back, and after trying on the sorting hat, I am told I have been sorted into Slytherin.  From Hufflepuff to Slytherin - now that is change.

Thanks (Heather says fearing a Slytherin ambush of exploding dung bombs if she even looks towards their common room).  I always thought Jim was more suited for Slytherin . . . This could spell problems for our future, though. . .(just kidding)

(Hey, Morgan, I didn't jinx you...?)

I didn't say that there were no chances that the other houses won the cup...sorry, I expressed myself wrongly. As usual. I was really tired (as usual, I'm sleep deprivated), and growing up with my brother, I have ocasionaly become extremely defensive...ardon me. :-[

Hmmm...sorry about that...just that minutes after that post was made I was jinxed..again...I don't know who's doing it, or why, but I don't know...at the time I guess I jumped to conclusions. I know how it feels to be really tired and feel bad & so forth...I feel like that every morning...

Don't worry about the jinxing, Morgan. I think there are certain members of the board who delight in jinxes those not of their house. The totals get reset every house cup, too. It's not a big deal. Or hopefully isn't!

^^;;

Uhh... I never knew that. I used to sort, like, every day, just for the fun of it. So, uhh... sorry if you were plagued with emails all the time...

This is interesting, though. I took this site's sorting test when I was 12, so I assume the problem doesn't go that far back, but it would still be interesting to see whether I've changed...

OK, I'm gonna take the test one more time. Just out of curiosity. I won't switch though. I wouldn't switch even if I made it into the "You win a million dollars" house.  ;D

I'll be back to edit this and post my results...

EDIT: Hoo boy... this is interesting...
Congratulations! You've been sorted into Slytherin! The administration will soon change your account settings so that you can access your common room.

Wow... odd, isn't it? How people can change like that? Or maybe it's just me. LOL. ^^;;
