Well, after quietly looking on as you guys solved the secrets of the site for me, I now have some information to add myself:
I'm pretty sure you guys are wrong about the A-BA-BA-HA-LA-MA-HA thing being a spell, because it IS a real publisher...yeah, it's real.  Search it on Google and see for yourself...
Also, have you guys noticed that the radio turns itself on all the time...

I guess, after clicking around forever, that the names on the trophies are just for fun -- you know, they're the names we'd all know.  I dunno about the medal thing.  As I said, I'm plumb out of ideas, and I suspect, based on the updates on the Rumors page, that we've exahusted the current clues/mysteries.

Has anyone seen the updates to the Rumors and News pages?  If not, you should.  On the Rumors page, she puts to rest the rumor that there's anything behind the "Do Not Disturb" door.  Someone apparently hacked their way through it and found .... nothing.

Also, do you think the names on the trophies have any significance at all?  Bellatrix is on one, and the only one we never see all of starts with "Ha."  Has Harry gotten any trophies for the school yet?

Um.....wouldn't he have gotten a trophy for winning the Triwizard Tournament?  I mean, he did win, when it all comes down to it......

oh!  Has anyone noticed that the 2 paintings (or 2 halves of 1 painting) in the Library have the same (looking at least) birds that are outside the window beside the Do Not Disturb door?
And, that in the paintings, the birds are flying around at night, but in the real version (outside the window) the birds only fly around during the day?

I hope everyone understood that.

No, I hadn't noticed that.  .... COOL!  Thanks.

And that's really a publishing company??  Sounds like an awfully long name to me....  ::)

Yes, Mad.  It's really true.  I googled it, just like jtherlow said to.  If you're interested, here's one of the pages I came up with:  http://www.ukrweekly.com/Archive/2002/020202.shtml.

Yes, jtherlow, I did notice the painting's strange similarity to the window near the Do Not Disturb door.  Do you make anything of it?  I also noticed the radio but have yet to attach any significance to that, either.  Do you have any ideas?

IIRC, Harry, Ron, and Hermion got special awards for service to the school at the end of CoS. But my books are 3000 miles away, so I'm not positive.

Yay! I finally got the spider!
I'm not sure, but I thought it was just Harry and Ron, but only if I'm remebering correctly.

About the radio, well, the only time radios are mentioned in the books is when Mrs. Weasely is tuned in to WWN (Wizarding Wireless Networking) in CoS...but I don't see how this could be connected...maybe the radio's just there to add music (and annoying music, too ::)) to the background.

Another interesting thing is, when you go to the Do Not Disturb door at night and look out the window, what on earth is going on out there?  There are seachlights in the sky, and falling stars or fireworks...(maybe has something to do with Dedaelous Diggle, or whatever his name was.)

...How many pages have you all gotten in that scrapbook thing?  I've got 4...is that really all??

In JKR's biography on the site she also mentions loud music being the only thing that can keep her from being able to write, or something along those lines.  Maybe it's in FAQ - Good Places To Write.  Anyway, whenever I hear it click on (or almost whenever) I go turn it off.

Arg. Late to the party and having major difficulties.

I got the cell phone one (although her handwriting is giving me a major headache and I've yet to read it), and I got the medal one, but the other two are proving more problematic.

I cannot click on the feathers. I assume that these come up with the FAQ, or its the feather on the far right on the main page. Then, for some reason the spider, who was there two days ago, has suddenly decided not to come out and play. Ever. Boo! And I haven't even *seen* the potion. Where is it???

And I feel stupid, but I don't know where the library is at all.

I'd like to pin some of the problems on my ancient PC, because last time I was there, half of the biography ages had no text, but I think most of it's on me. I'm pretty dense sometimes.

Consider this a cry for help!

Have you clicked on the pen on the main page? That should take you to the library.

Also, go to the room that has the radio and stuff (can't recall really which page it is).  There should be an eraser there and a blank page.  If you move the eraser over the blank page, the ingredients for the "potion" should appear.

And the feather you want isn't any of the ones with FAQ.  It's on either the links page or... maybe the fan site page?  I can't remember now where I got it.

I think it's in the box in the library--so the links page, yes?

No, in the box was this orb which, when you clicked on it, gave you another thingamajig.  The feather (or quill?) was on a shelf, or something.  It was either in the links section or the fan site section.  I think the links section had the philter or whatever it was, so maybe the trophy area had the feather?  *tries really hard to remember*  Any luck yet, Lauren?

So.. the Do Not Disturb sign has been taken off of the door, and yes, there is something you can do with what you find behind it. I'm trying to figure out the right combination/trick to it now...

No, just with what to do behind the door.

Also, there's a new Fan Site Award, and new stuff in the Rumors mag.  YAY!

I tried tapping the bricks behind the door thinking it might open something, like the entrance to Diagon Alley.  Didn't work for me.  Any thoughts on what to do?

I finally got in.  I had to empty out my temp internet files, first, for some reason.

Anyway, no clue what to do there.  Can't seem to click on anything.  I even turned the light off to see if that did something...nothing.

So what do you think that thing on the wall is?  A map?  And what is that light thing that keeps trying to turn on??

[edit: based on your last post, Heather, I went back ... and you're right about the bricks.  Keep trying.  I, like Jan, am trying to figure out the right combination, and all I can say is that if this is nothing but a joke, I'm going to be PUT OUT!]

There are 120 possible combinations to the bricks.  I have written them all out for my own reference and will start trying them tomorrow.  I'll need to draw a little picture of how I'm numbering them, though.  *sigh*  Anyway, we'll figure it out.  How many heads have we got, here?  They're better than one, at any rate.   ;D

I want to say, and I could be wrong, that on the HP1 DVD, the brick wall to get into Diagon Alley has a similar layout of moveable bricks. The book just describes tapping one brick three times to get into Diagon Alley, but I think it was more complicated in the movie. Can anyone check? (I can't, 'cause I don't own the DVD and my roommate that does is gone 'til August.)

I'll check the DVD tonight - but once a brick has been tapped, it sinks into the wall, so there's no tapping it again.

And yes, Cho, that REALLY looks like a map to me, as well. I have no idea what the sparking electrical cord is. Maybe Crookshanks has been chewing on it.

OK - the secret is out - follow this link if you want to know how to get behind the door (and find out what is behind it) - http://www.wizardnews.com/story.20040628.html.  There is discussion about this at http://forums.fark.com/cgi/fark/comments.pl?IDLink=1016552.
