[See, when you change the subject, you can start a new thread. Very easy, really.]

I haven't seen the Hulk. I was a fan of the series, but the movie looked...disappointing. The Hulk looked so CGI. Blah.

Finding Nemo is a good movie.

I just watched League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. It was . . . weird. Too many "main" characters to really get into character-driven stuff, and sometimes the plot was like, "Well, now we're going to do that because I say we are," rather than it seeming to derive from the story. But it was fun.

Though not as much fun as Pirates. :)

split the thread and moved it here. Next time you want to change the subject, there's nothing wrong with starting a new thread right then and there.]

Ever notice how it's really hard to pick just one favorite of anything? People often ask about favorite books or movies, but I can never pick just

one.

I really like Beauty and the Beast. And Condorman. And Pride and Prejudice. And the list goes on. :)

I didn't necessarily think that they were bad, but I didn't really enjoy either. They seemed overhyped to me.

Silas, how would you know? They are rated R aren't they?

I think you had to approach them with an open mind, otherwise it was too hard to accept the phenomina (sp?)of it all.

I was very excited to finally see the first

one, (it was right after Reloaded came out), but I just didn't find it all that impressive. Not a bad movie by any means, but not the type I find enjoyable. I

thought the same of the sequel, only I found that it just looked too computer generated.

Finding Nemo, on the other hand, was just great. So

cute! I LOVED that sea turtle.

From Justin to Kelly was SUCH a corny movie, but I'm such a big Kelly Clarkson fan that I liked it anyway. I

wouldn't recommend it, but it made me smile.

Legally Blonde II ruined everything that was cute and funny about the first one. I was very

disappointed.

Pirates of the Carribean was very funny. I saw that today. I couldn't believe how much the female lead looked like Natalie

Portman, until I remembered that I had just read that she had played Padme's decoy queen, Sabe, in Episode I. I like Orlando Bloom very much without

the flowing blonde hair. Johnny Depp was really great. The whole movie was just a very entertaining summer film.

I'd suggest Finding Nemo

and Pirates be very very high on your "to see" lists.

Some of my favourite movies are movies directed by Baz Lurhman. The most widley known movies that he directed are Romeo and Juliet, and Moulin Rouge. I think he has a really unique direction style.

Some of the other movies on my top ten list are Gladiator, Spirited Away, and Princess Mononoke. Japanimation is great and so much more original than most of american cartoons.

I liked Princess Mononoke too, Ophelia. I

have been wanting to watch Spirited away for ages, since all my friends have seen it and own it (though they ahve DVD, and I dont have a player), but

basically everyone thats seen it liked it. My old favorite movie used to be My Neighbor Totoro, another moive by the same animator. Another movie by the

same people, Castle In The Sky (I think), friends said was good, though I haven't seen it either (though my dad's company is printing up huge posters for

it).

I didn't see the first Matrix until about a year ago. I didn't understand it at all. I saw it again a few months ago, and it made so much more

sense. I think it made more sense to me after taking a year of Spanish literature and having to read so many stories about alternate realities, what is

dream/real, etc. It really made me think the second time I saw it. I thought it was good, but not my favorite movie.

I actually don't know what

my favorite movie is. I guess I don't really have one. For the musically inclined, Mr. Hollands Opus and Amadeus are both really good.

Silas, to answer your question

really quick, when you click on a color from the drop down menu, you should see coding in brackets [] in your message box.  You have to write

everything you want in that color BETWEEN the brackets.  That should work.

I love Miyazake (the director of Totoro, Laputa (Castle in the

Sky), Mononoke Hime, and Spirited Away (I don't know the Japanese name for it.)  I haven't seen Totoro yet, but I hear it's excellent.  He also did

Kiki's Delivery Service, and at least one more.  There's a cat and a violin, and a boy and a girl.  I haven't seen it yet, and I don't know the name

because I can't read Chinese (we got it in Taiwan) AND I can't remember how to read Japanese (I used to know.)  Anyway, I"ll tell you how it is

once I've seen it, and I'll ask my Japanese-speaking friend to read the cover to me.  ;D

I saw the Matrix, and I even own it, but I'll never

watch it again because I've decided to start being really good about the "no rated R movies" counsel.  I used to make a few exceptions.

Anyway, I've seen it, and I loved it.  I thought it was an excellent film.  I loved that it wasn't gory or full of ... well, naughtiness (like half-dressed women)

and that it was such a "thinking" movie.  (I'm a philosopher.)  I also thought their mood creation was extremely effective.  I left the theatre (all

three or four times) feeling very... what a word to describe it? ... limbo-ish.  I don't know, everything just seemed sort of unreal for a while.  Most films

don't effect me anywhere near that strongly.

I didn't go see the second one partially because of the rated R thing, like I said, and even more

because of the naughtiness.  I don't care to see into other people's bedrooms, if you know what I mean.

Kiki's Delivery Service. I knew I was

missing one. I loved that too. That cat was really cool. Even though I havent seen the newer movies, I still place Totoro high - it's such a great movie.

Actually, *checks* if my icon is loading it's from Totoro. I recommend you see it.
