Wow - that was a great discussion.  Thanks for bringing that up again!

That may do the trick.  I love when the Harry Potter movies are released around the holidays, though.  I began reading the books during the holiday season, and that time of year has stuck as a close association for the mood of the films.  Don't get me wrong, they are great in the summer as well, but there is something about watching the movies and then going outside where it is cold.  Makes me crave butter beer . . .

Apparently they've bumped up the release of the Twilight movie to Nov 21st (iirc--don't feel like looking it up again). Maybe that will help. :)

Just my luck.  Oh well, looks like Mr. Bond will have to dominate my fall.

Twilight is the first book by Stephanie Meyers. It's about a girl and a vampire. It's ... like, it's not horrible. I've read worse books. I'm enjoying it. It's very popular, though I think it's pretty faddish in that. They're making a movie of it.

I'm into book three right now, and I must confess that I am considering smacking the main character upside the head, but that's probably just me. :)

Well, interestingly enough, they might have bought themselves more time, at least with the later movies, because Half-Blood Prince just got bumped from this fall to being released next summer.

Well, had to bring this back up - rather interesting to re-read this topic after finishing the whole thing... we were mighty close at times, well done!

I've got faith... they will do what is necessary.  Their challenge is definitely there, but I'm not worried about it!

Definitely unfair. But then, I'm starting to give authors a lot of props for actually finishing things. I have so many unfinished projects lying around. It's not as easy to finish as I wish it was. Really need to get to work on that darned screenplay.
